Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on mutual organization of the trade missions

of October 22, 1992

The government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan which are hereinafter referred to as with "Contracting parties"

aiming to provide the economic relations between the countries on the principles accepted in world practice

proceeding from need of creation of effective national systems of the external economic regulation,

for the purpose of the best coordination of the external economic relations between Contracting Parties,

agreed as follows:

Article 1.

Contracting parties mutually establish the Trade missions in the capitals of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan and provide for them on the basis of reciprocity office and premises.

Article 2.

Contracting parties agreed that the Trade missions will perform the following main functions:

a) promote development and expansion of trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan;

b) represent the interests of the states in adoptive state in all questions concerning trade and other types of economic cooperation between both countries;

c) inform state bodies of the country on economic conditions in the country of the location and its legislation in the field of foreign economic activity, and also provide such information on the country to the interested bodies of the country of the location;

d) render assistance to physical persons and legal entities of the countries in implementation of transactions by them in the field of trade, economic and sci-tech cooperation with legal entities and physical persons of adoptive state.

Article 3.

The trade missions act on behalf of the Government of the country. The sales representative and his deputies, and also administrative technicians of the Trade mission uses the same privileges and immunities which are recognized according to international law behind the corresponding categories diplomatic and administrative technicians of foreign diplomatic representations.
