proceeding from the imperative need of accurate regulation of the new relations between the Ministry of safety of the Russian Federation and Committee for State Security of the Republic of Kazakhstan,

agreed in the following:

1. The parties develop the general principles of the organization and implementation of joint activities for the purpose of the most effective and mutually advantageous use of operational and other opportunities for the benefit of safety of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Each other shall inform the parties on the revealed prospecting and blasting aspirations of foreign intelligence agencies and foreign organizations to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also to the Joint Armed Forces deployed in their territory timely. If necessary jointly perform measures for the prevention and suppression of high treasons, the stipulated by the legislation Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan; on protection of economic interests, fight against smuggling, corruption and organized crime of interstate and interregional nature, the international terrorism and drug trafficking.
