About safety of hydraulic engineering constructions
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations arising when implementing activities for safety during the designing, construction, commissioning, operation, reconstruction, recovery, preservation and liquidation of hydraulic engineering constructions.
The legislation on safety of hydraulic engineering constructions consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
Legal regulation of the relations in the field of safety of hydraulic engineering constructions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan is performed as well by the legislation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are provided in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on safety of hydraulic engineering constructions then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
hydraulic engineering constructions - dikes, hydroelectric power station buildings, water waste, water draw-off, water throughput and water final constructions, tunnels, channels, pumping points, constructions intended for protection against flood and destructions of coast of water storage basins, coast and bottom of beds of the rivers and channels, construction (dam) protecting storages of liquid waste of industrial and agricultural organizations;
the operating organization - the company, organization and the organization on which balance there is hydraulic engineering construction;
