About modification and amendments in the Law on protection of geographical instructions, names of places of origin and the guaranteed traditional products No. 66-XVI of March 27, 2008

In the Law on protection of geographical instructions, names of places of origin and the guaranteed traditional products No. 66-XVI of March 27, 2008 (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2008, Art. No. 134-137, 527) to make the following changes and additions:

1. In Article 2:

in the concept "geographical specifying" of the word "production, and/or conversion, and/or production of which take place" shall be replaced with words "at least one of production phases of which is performed";

in the concept "name of the place of origin" of the word "which production, conversion and production take place" shall be replaced with words "all production phases of which are performed";

"traditional – the checked use in the national market during the period providing transfer from generation to generation; this period constitutes at least 30 years;";

add the concept "official control" with words "to specifications on goods with the protected name of the place of origin protected by geographical specifying and on the guaranteed traditional products;".

2. In Item b) parts (Article 3 of the word "on behalf of the state" to exclude 2).

3. In Article 5:

Item c) parts (to state 1) in the following edition:

"c) which all production phases are performed in the designated geographical zone.";

Item c) parts (to state 2) in the following edition:

"c) at least one of production phases of which is performed in the designated geographical zone.";
