The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are referred to as further with the Parties
being guided by provisions of international treaties between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan,
being based on friendship, considering mutual interest in further deepening and expansion of economic cooperation,
agreed as follows.
For the purpose of accomplishment of this agreement of the Party will cooperate in area:
- carrying out joint geological surveys, exploration and production of hydrocarbonic raw material in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the water area of the Aral Sea;
- uses of scientific and technical capacity of the Parties and development of services.
The parties will pursue coordinated policy concerning approach to implementation of joint projects and use on contractual basis of objects of production infrastructure.
The parties will assist in exchange of geological, geophysical and other information on subsoil, and also necessary data of scientific and technical and engineering nature in case of realization and study of new joint projects.
The parties will promote creating favorable conditions for investment, joint activities in the field of investigation and development of oil and gas deposits in the territories of the states by provision each other of tax and customs privileges according to the legislation of the states of the Parties.
Provisions of this agreement do not exert impact on the rights and obligations of the Parties following from other international treaties which participants they are.
