Being guided by the Contract on creation of the Common economic space between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan of April 30, 1994, the Contract on eternal friendship between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 10, 1997;

Relying on the reached level of economic interaction between the countries;

wishing to provide effective use of transport communications and understanding importance and need of the joint and approved use of highways;

proceeding from need of preserving technological unity of transport systems and decrease in transportation costs;

for the purpose of creation of conditions for free movement of passengers and loads;

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Section of Dzhetysay-Chardar Highway extent of 24,5 of kilometers;

passing on the territory - the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the sanitary protection zone on 30 meters in both parties from edge of carriageway, it is transferred to temporary use, for a period of ten years to the Republic of Kazakhstan on a grant basis (without payment).

This section of the highway passes across the western coast of the Chardarinsky water storage basin from Frontier of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Republic of Uzbekistan near to the west village of Makhtala, in the general direction on the northeast through the village Arnasay, platinum of Arnasaysky dumping on the northwest to Frontier of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Republic of Uzbekistan.
