Article 242.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Russian Federation Code, 1996, No. 25, Art. 2954; 2003, No. 50, Art. 4848; 2009, No. 31, Art. 3921; No. 52, Art. 6453; No. 10, the Art. 1162) to add 2012, with notes of the following content:

"Notes. 1. Materials and objects with pornographic images of minors in this Article and Article 242.2 of this Code are understood as the materials and objects containing any image or the description in the sexual purposes:

the sexual connection or other actions of sexual nature made concerning the minor or with its participation;

the full age person representing the minor making or imitating sexual connection or other actions of sexual nature.

2. The materials and objects containing the image or the description of genitals of the minor are not materials and objects with pornographic images of minors if such materials and objects have historical, art or cultural value or are held for use in the scientific or medical purposes or in educational activities in the procedure established by the Federal Law.".
