About modification and amendments in some legal acts

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. – Item d) article 56 of the Law on environmental protection No. 1515-XII of June 16, 1993 (1993, 10, Art. 283), with subsequent changes, to state the monitor of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova to No. in the following edition:

"d) perform technological retrofitting of production for the termination of emissions in the atmosphere of the substances destroying ozone layer, asbestos dust and fibers and also for reduction or the termination of emissions of dangerous substances from category of resistant organic pollutants and category of the heavy metals regulated by international agreements which party is the Republic of Moldova;".

Art. II. – In the Law on protection of atmospheric air No. 1422-XIII of December 17, 1997 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 1998, Art. No. 44-46, 312), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:

1. In Article 17:

in part (2) the word "departments" shall be replaced with words "other central administrative authorities";

part (to state 3) in the following edition:

"(3) It is forbidden:

a) production and operation of vehicles which emissions exceed standard rates of PDV of pollutants;

b) production, import, transportation, storage, domestic sale and use of ethylated oil products, the halogenated adsorbents and additives to ethylated oil products, including lead tetramethyl (CAS No. 75-74-1, where CAS – the register of Chemical Abstracts Service) and tetraethyllead (CAS No. 78-00-2).".

2. Add Article 20 with part (3) the following content:

"(3) For the purpose of protection of atmospheric air, other components of the environment and ecosystems, and also for the purpose of prevention of impact of atmospheric pollution on health of the person production, import, introduction on the domestic market, sale, use in engineering procedures is forbidden and when implementing construction works of the construction products and chemical products provided in appendix to this law.".
