About modification and amendments in the Law on national defense No. 345-XV against July 25, 2003

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. – In the Law on national defense No. 345-XV against July 25, 2003 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2003, Art. No. 200-203, 775), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:

1. In part (1) Article 1 of the word "the organization and purpose of forces of national system of defense." shall be replaced with words "the organization, purpose of forces of national system of defense and planning of national defense.".

2. In article 2 to state the concept "national system of defense" of the following edition:

"national system of defense – management, set of forces, means and elements of infrastructure, and also set of the actions intended for ensuring defense of the country;".

3. In Article 3 of the word "Concept of Homeland Security" shall be replaced with words "The strategy of national security, the National strategy of defense and Military strategy".

4. Item b) Article 4 to state in the following edition:

"b) approval of strategy of homeland security, national strategy of defense and military strategy;".

5. Part (Article 6 to state 1) in the following edition:

"(1) For the purpose of accomplishment of obligations assumed within the Charter of the UN, agreements signed with the European Union, other international organizations and foreign states, the Republic of Moldova can take part in international missions and transactions according to the Law on participation of the Republic of Moldova in international missions and transactions No. 219 of December 3, 2015.".

6. In part (2) Article 24:
