About the competition and restriction of monopolistic activities in the goods markets
This Law determines the organizational and legal basis of the prevention, restriction, suppression of monopolistic activities and unfair competition, is aimed at providing conditions for forming and effective functioning of the competitive relations in the goods markets.
This Law extends to the relations influencing the competition in the goods markets in the Republic of Uzbekistan in which legal entities and physical persons, including foreign, state bodies of management and public authorities on places participate. The law is applied and when actions and the agreements, respectively, made or signed by specified persons and bodies outside the Republic of Uzbekistan bring or can lead to restriction of the competition or involve other negative effects in the goods markets of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This Law does not extend to the relations regulated by regulations of legal protection of inventions, industrial designs, trademarks, selection achievements and copyright, except as specified, when intentional use of the appropriate rights leads to competition restriction.
The relations connected with monopolistic activities and unfair competition in the labor markets, securities and financial services, except as specified, when the relations developing in these markets exert impact on the competition in the goods markets, are regulated by other acts of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Additional state regulation of activities of subjects of natural monopolies can be provided by the legislation.
Provisions of this Law are applied to subjects of natural monopolies in that part when their application does not limit accomplishment of specific functions of these subjects.
