About modification in the Penitentiary code of Ukraine concerning enhancement of procedure for application to convicts of measures of encouragement and collection

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Bring in the Penitentiary code of Ukraine (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2004, Art. No. 3-4, 21) the following changes:

Shall be replaced with words 1) in part three of Article 54 of the word "under the resolution of the chief of the arestny house" also in figures "according to the procedure, determined by Articles 134, of the 135th of this Code";

Article 69 to add 2) with part nine of the following content:

"9. Collection in the form of the placement to the disciplinary isolation center is applied according to the procedure, determined by Articles 134, of the 135th of this Code";

The text of Article 130 to state 3) in the following edition:

"1. In case of execution of the assigned obligations and observance of the rules of conduct established by this Code and regulations of colony, observance of rules of the labor schedule and safety requirements of work the following measures of encouragement can be applied to persons serving custodial sanction:

gratitude;

early withdrawal of earlier imposed penalty;

rewarding with the certificate of appreciation;

assignment of honorary title "the best on behavior", "the active participant of amateur performance" and so forth;

payment of cash bonus;

rewarding with gift;

transfer into the improved conditions of keeping;

provision of permission for departure out of limits of colony for the purpose of visit of the family up to seven days the convict containing in sites of social resettlement of corrective labor colonies of the minimum level of safety with general terms of content and the average level of safety;

provision of additional short-term or long appointment;

permission in addition to spend money for purchase of food and necessities in the amount to fifty percent of the minimum size of the salary;
