Article 1. "About local self-government" of May 7, 2002 to state article 36 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia to ZR-337 (further - the Law) in the following edition:

"Article 36. Activities of the head of municipality in the field of the organization of defense

1. In the field of the organization of defense the head of municipality performs the following obligatory powers:

1) in the procedure established by the law is conducted by the magazine of registration of persons liable for call-up of municipality, lists on them, and also represents to territorial military commissariat data on removal from accounting from the municipality residence, acceptance for work and release from work;

2) in the cases established by the law and procedure participates in the organization of military appeal, military charges and educational training camps;

3) in case of availability of information about persons liable for call-up the citizens who broke the obligations without delay in writing provides to territorial military commissariat information on it.

2. The head of municipality performs the following voluntary powers in this area:

1) promotes activities of bodies of civil defense;

2) promotes improvement of social security of families of the military personnel, and also the solution of the social problems exempted from military service of veterans of war;

3) promotes military patriotic education of the population, especially youth.".

Article 2. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day following behind day of official publication.
