About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About local self-government"

Article 1. "About local self-government" of May 7, 2002 to state Item 6 of part 1 of article 33 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia to ZR-337 (further - the Law) in the following edition:

"6) is regulated by holding meetings according to the procedure, established by the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Armenia;".

To Article 2. Add the law with Article 35.1 of the following content:

"Article 35.1. Functions of the head of municipality in the field of regulation of public actions

1. The action which is not considered as meeting (celebrations, cultural and sporting events and other) which happens on the open place (the street, the sidewalk, the square, the park, the square and other) or in which persons whose circle is individually not determined by the organizer of social movement can participate is public.

2. The procedure for the organization and holding rituals is established according to the procedure, the stipulated in Clause 7 Laws of the Republic of Armenia "About liberty of conscience and the religious organizations".

3. If it is expected that the number of participants of public action will exceed three hundred, then this public event is held with the notification of the head of municipality. The notification is performed by the organizer of public action not later than 3 days about day of carrying out social movement on one of the methods preferred by the organizer – personally, by phone or by means of mail.

4. If it is expected that the number of participants of public action will not exceed three hundred, then the notification is not required, however the organizer of public action for the purpose of safety and normal process of public action can inform the head of municipality on holding public action.

5. The notification shall include the following data:

1) place of public action,

2) approximate time of the beginning and end of public action,

3) the expected number of participants,
