About elections of akims of aulny (rural) districts, auls (villages), settlements of the Republic of Kazakhstan

1. Approve the enclosed Rules of elections of akims of aulny (rural) districts, auls (villages), settlements of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) to appoint, organize and step by step to hold elections of akims of aulny (rural) districts, auls (villages), settlements of the Republic of Kazakhstan after enforcement of the laws concerning further decentralization of public administration and introduction of local self-government;

2) together with akims of areas to determine quantity and the list of administrative and territorial units where the elections provided by this Decree will be held.

3. Declare invalid Item 1 of the Presidential decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan of June 23, 2001 No. 633 <about elections of akims of aulny (rural) districts, auls (villages), settlements> (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2001, No. 21, the Art. 259).

4. To the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akims of areas to take necessary measures for organizational, material and financial provision of elections of the specified akims.

5. This Decree becomes effective from the date of publication.
