About introduction of amendments to the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. "Psychoneurological organization" shall be replaced with words words of part 4 of article 97 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia of April 18, 2003 (further – the Code) "the psychiatric organization".
Article 2. To state Items 2 and 3 of part 1 of article 98 of the Code in the following edition:
"2) forced treatment in psychiatric department of general supervision of the psychiatric organizations";
3) forced treatment in psychiatric department of special type of lunatic asylum.".
Article 3. To state article 100 of the Code in the following edition:
"Article 100. Forced treatment in the psychiatric organizations
1. Forced treatment in psychiatric department of general supervision of the psychiatric organizations for the court order can be appointed if the provision of mental disturbance of person requires such conditions of treatment, leaving and supervision which can be performed only in hospital conditions.
2. Forced treatment in psychiatric department of special type of lunatic asylum according to the court order can be appointed to that person who in the mental condition is dangerous to itself and other persons and requires constant surveillance.".
Article 4. In the text of article 102 of the Code of the word "in lunatic asylum" shall be replaced with words "in the psychiatric organization".
Article 5. Regarding the 2nd article 103 of the Code of the word of "the commission of psychiatrists" shall be replaced with words "the medical psychiatric commission".
