About modification and amendments in the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. In article 164 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia of April 18, 2003 (further – the Code):
Words of part 1 "from fifty multiple to hundred fifty multiple sizes" shall be replaced with words 1) "from two hundred multiple to four hundred multiple sizes";
Words of part 2 "from hundredfold to two hundred fifty multiple sizes" shall be replaced with words 2) "from four hundred multiple to seven hundred multiple sizes";
To add 3) with part 3 following of content:
"3. Provided by parts one and the second this Article of act which were made using violence or threat of its application, life-threatening and health of the journalist or his confidant:
attracts imprisonment, from three to seven years.".
Article 2. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after official publication.
