About introduction of amendments to the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. (On April 18, 2003) to state article 188 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia in the following edition:

"Article 188. Illegal entrepreneurship

1. Implementation of business activity without state registration (except for the cases provided by the law) or the activities which are subject to licensing without special permission (license) or the activities prohibited by the law which were followed by causing significant damage to persons or the organizations or the state,

attracts imposing of penalty, from five hundred multiple to the thousandfold size of minimum wage, or arrest, for a period of one up to three months, or imprisonment, for the maximum term one year, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities, for the term of one year.

2. The same act which was followed by drawing major damage to persons or the organizations or the state,

attracts imposing of penalty, from the thousandfold size of minimum wage, thousandfold to two, or imprisonment, for a period of one year up to three years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities, for a period of one year up to two years.

3. Same act, which:

1) was followed by drawing especially major damage to persons or the organizations or the state;

2) it was made by organized group,

attracts imprisonment, for a period of two up to six years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities, for a period of one year up to three years.
