About introduction of amendments to the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1.  To state article 163 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia of April 18, 2003 (further - the Code) in the following edition:

"Article 163. Hindrance to carrying out or participation to meetings

1. Hindrance to holding legal meetings,

attracts infliction of penalty, from hundredfold to three hundred multiple sizes of minimum wage or arrest, for the maximum term three months, or imprisonment, for the maximum term one year.

2. Coercion in participation in legal meetings using violence or threat of its application,

attracts infliction of penalty, from five hundred multiple to the thousandfold size of minimum wage or arrest, for the maximum term three months, or imprisonment, for the maximum term three years.".

Article 2. In article 225.1 of the Code:

Words of the title "public action" to replace 1) with the word "meeting",

2) words of part 1 "public action" shall be replaced with words "meeting intentionally",

3) words of part 2 "Public action" shall be replaced with words "Meeting".

Article 3. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after official publication.
