THE AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION OF THE STATE PARTIES OF COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES IN FIGHT AGAINST CRIME ON TRANSPORT

The State Parties of this agreement on behalf of the governments which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

attaching importance to development of international cooperation in fight against crime, to ensuring protection of the rights and fundamental freedoms of man and citizen,

proceeding from desire of further strengthening of interaction of the Parties in fight against crime on transport,

expressing aspiration to ensuring the maximum safety of passengers and transportation of goods,

being guided by the conventional principles and rules of international law,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties according to this agreement, the national legal system and the international obligations perform cooperation in the prevention, identification, suppression and disclosure of the crimes committed on transport, first of all:

a) against life and health, freedom, honor and advantage of the personality;

b) terrorist nature;

c) connected with illicit trafficking and smuggling of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, weapon, ammunition, explosive, strong toxic agents, radioactive and biological materials, and also other materials posing threat of life and to health of the person and the environment;

d) connected with illegal migration;

e) connected with illegal import, export and transit of the goods and loads including prohibited or limited to movement;

e) against property, including plunders of loads and baggage;

g) directed to reduction in condition of automobiles, unsuitable for operation, its power supply, means of communication, buildings and constructions of transport infrastructure, navigation equipment, means of communication and the alarm system or other transport equipment ensuring traffic safety on all modes of transport;

h) connected with violation of safety rules and operation of transport.

Article 2

1. The parties perform cooperation through the competent authorities.

2. The list of competent authorities is determined by each Party and transferred to depositary.
