About modification of the Code of civil procedure of Ukraine concerning hearing of cases with participation of jurors

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Code of civil procedure of Ukraine (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2004, No. No. 40-42, of the Art. 492) the following changes:

1. In part two of Article 18 of the word of "jurymen" to replace with the word of "jurors".

2. In item 4 of part one of Article 51 of the word "professional judges, jurymen and jurors" shall be replaced with words "professional judges and jurors".

3. In part four of Article 234 of the word of "jurymen" to replace with the word of "jurors".

II. Final and transitional provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. If before entry into force of this Law proceedings with participation of jurymen are initiated, but not finished, after entry into force of this Law of person, taking part as jurymen, are considered as jurors.

3. Before reduction of bylaws in compliance with this Law the same rules are applied to jurors in civil legal proceedings that were effective concerning jurymen.
