About energy saving
This Law determines legal, economic, social and ecological basis of energy saving for all companies, associations and the organizations located in the territory of Ukraine and also for citizens.
In this Law the following concepts are used:
"energy saving" - the activities (organizational, scientific, practical, information) directed to rational use and economical expenditure of primary and transformed energy, natural energy resources in national economy and which is implemented with use of technical, economic and legal methods;
"energy saving policy" - administrative and legal and financial and economic regulation of processes of production, conversion, transportation, storage, production, distribution and use of fuel and energy resources for the purpose of their rational use and economical expenditure;
"fuel and energy resources" - set of all natural and transformed types of fuel and energy used in national economy;
"rational use of fuel and energy resources" achievement of maximum efficiency of use of fuel and energy resources in case of the existing level of development of the equipment and technology and simultaneous decrease in technogenic influence on the surrounding environment;
"economy of fuel and energy resources" - relative expense reduction of fuel and energy resources that is shown in decrease in their specific expenses on production, performance of works and rendering services of the established quality;
energy efficient products, technology, the equipment - products or method, means of its production providing rational use of fuel and energy resources in comparison with other options of use or production of identical consumer level or with similar technical and economic indicators;
