About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About advertizing"

Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on April 9, 2007

Article 1. Article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About advertizing" (from April 30, 1996, to add with ZR-55) with the new paragraph of the following content:

""Umbrella" advertizing is advertizing, the trademarks or the brand name of the advertized goods and services used in which are identical or to extent of mixing are similar to the trademark of those goods and services or the brand name of the legal entities making or offering them to which advertizing this Law provides restrictions. Also mentioning in advertizing of the trademark, brand name or any other means of individualization of the producer or seller of similar goods or providing services is considered "umbrella".".

Article 2. Add the Law with Article 16.1 of the following content:

"Article 16.1. "Umbrella" advertizing

""Umbrella" advertizing is prohibited.".

Article 3. To state article 24 of the Law in the following edition:

"Article 24. The state authorized body of management of the Republic of Armenia exercising control over compliance with law about advertizing

1. The state authorized body of management of the Republic of Armenia exercising control over compliance with law about advertizing is created in the procedure established by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

2. The state authorized body of management of the Republic of Armenia exercising control over compliance with law in the field of television and radio is the National commission on television and radio.".

Article 4. Entry into force of this Law

This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after official publication.
