Article 1. "About advertizing" of April 30, 1996 to state article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia to ZR-55 in the following edition:
"Article 5. General requirements to advertizing
Advertizing shall be legal, reliable and proper.
Advertizing language in the Republic of Armenia is literary Armenian.
The statement of advertizing shall provide purity of literary Armenian, follow the fixed linguistic rules.
In the territory of the Republic of Armenia advertizing only in foreign language is prohibited. This provision does not extend to the trademarks and brands registered in foreign languages.
At the discretion of the advertiser, if necessary, the statement of advertizing can be followed in two and more foreign languages which total amount shall not exceed amount (area) of statement in Armenian and contain information which does not enter statement on Armenian.
The advertizing statement in Armenian shall be before the text in foreign language, record from top to down or from right to left.
The advertizing statement in foreign language with the images, color or light schemes shall not exceed statement on Armenian.
In the publications published in the territory of the Republic of Armenia in foreign languages and in the transfers broadcast in foreign languages the accompanying advertizing in Armenian, with the amount (area) which is not yielding to advertizing in foreign language is obligatory.
Use of name or the image of physical person for the purpose of advertizing without its consent is forbidden.".
Article 2. This Law becomes effective in one month after official publication.
