About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About television and radio"

Article 1. Article 26 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia ZR-97 "About television and radio" of October 9, 2000 (further – the Law) to add with part 6.1 following of content:
"6.1. Broadcast of advertizing per Public television, except for social advertizing, and also cases of mentioning of information about sponsors is prohibited during broadcast of cultural, educational, scientific and cognitive and sports TV programs, according to part 6 of article 14 of this Law, but no more, than about one sponsor during broadcast of each cultural, educational, scientific and cognitive and sports TV program. Mentioning of sponsors during the social advertizing shown on Public television, and also during broadcast of cultural, educational, scientific and cognitive and sports TV programs, shall not exceed 2.5 percent of duration of the program.
Provisions of this part do not extend to on-air broadcasting by satellite communication of Public television, and also to those rebroadcasts of the international prestigious cultural and (or) sporting events within which upon the demand of their organizers advertizing shall be broadcast.".
Article 2. To declare Item 1 of part 6 of article 26 of the Law invalid.
Article 3. This Law enters for the tenth day after official publication.
