realizing danger which is born for both countries by industrial accidents, catastrophic crashes and natural disasters,

recognizing that the cooperation in the field of the prevention of industrial accidents, catastrophic crashes, natural disasters and liquidation of their effects can help welfare and safety of both states,

considering advantage which exchange of scientific and technical information in the field of the prevention of industrial accidents, catastrophic crashes, natural disasters and liquidation of their effects can have for the Parties,

accepting in attention possibility of emergency situations which effects cannot be liquidated by forces and means of one of the Parties, and the need for these circumstances for the coordinated actions of the Parties for the purpose of the prevention of emergency situations and liquidation of their effects,

agreed about the following:

Article 1

Terms which are used in this Agreement have such values:

The party which requests - the Party which appeals to other Party about the direction of rescue units, the corresponding equipment and materials of providing;

The party which provides - the Party which grants request of other Party for the direction of rescue units, the corresponding equipment and materials of providing;

rescue units - groups of specialists, including the military personnel of troops of civil defense which are intended for assistance and provided with the necessary equipment;

the equipment - materials, technical and vehicles, equipment of rescue units and personal equipment which is used for assistance;

providing materials - the appliances intended for free distribution among the population which suffered owing to natural disaster or accident;

competent authorities - bodies which are appointed by the Parties for coordination of the works connected with implementation of this Agreement.
