Ukraine and the Republic Georgia, aiming to fix positive development of the bilateral relations and to determine priorities of further cooperation with the purpose provision to it necessary dynamism based on the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between Ukraine and the Republic Georgia,

confirming historical and spiritual proximity of the people of Ukraine and the Republic Georgia,

recognizing that existence of democratic, sovereign, territorially complete states of Ukraine and the Republic Georgia has essential values for the international security, deepening of interstate cooperation and historical changes in system of the international relations,

especially recognizing value of the large-scale friendly Ukrainian-Georgian relations for consolidation of the international security in the Black Sea region and in the Caucasus, and also in the Euro-Asian corridor,

leaving general belief and determination of Ukraine and the Republic Georgia to deepen democratic processes, to go steadily way of market economic transformations and civil consent in society,

upholding the principles of equal and mutually beneficial interstate economic cooperation within the CIS, and also equally with the European and other international economic organizations and groups,

again confirming their commitment to the conventional purposes and the principles of the Charter of the UN, the Helsinki Final act and other basic documents of OSCE,

signed this Declaration for the purpose of reorganization of their friendly bilateral relations and approval of joint approaches of rather important problems of the international relations, namely:

1. Ukraine and the Republic Georgia welcome historical perspective which was opened by recovery of the state independence and sovereignty for their national revival and democratic development. They resolutely support effort each other in creation of the society founded on rule of law and complete respect of the rights and fundamental freedoms of the person.
