The government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic Georgia which hereinafter are referred to as further "Contracting parties", confirming the commitment to free development of mutual economic cooperation, considering available integration commercial ties of Ukraine and the Republic Georgia, interdependence and complementarity of economies of two countries, aiming at development of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic Georgia based on equality and mutual advantage, recognizing that free movement of goods and services requires implementation of mutually approved actions, being guided by provisions of the Declaration on bases of the economic relations between Ukraine and the Republic Georgia, confirming intentions of Ukraine and the Republic Georgia to become Contracting Parties of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), sharing the purposes and the principles of GATT and accepting results of agreements and arrangements in attention, the multilateral trade negotiations reached within the Uruguayan round,

Article 1

1. Contracting parties do not apply duty and/or import duty, and also taxes and fees which have with duty equivalent action, to goods which have origin from customs area of other Contracting Party. Withdrawal from this trade regime on the approved nomenclature of goods is drawn up by documents which are integral part of this Agreement if Contracting Parties recognize it necessary.
