About cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and certification

The government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Belarus that further hereinafter are referred to as as the Parties,

for the purpose of elimination of technical barriers in economic and trade relations,

wishing to develop cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and certification,

being guided by economic interests of both Parties,

agreed about the following:

Article 1

The parties recognize the operating state systems of standardization, ensuring unity of measurements and certification and will provide harmonization of these systems with their enhancement.

Each of the Parties can apply regulating documents on standardization, metrology and certification of other Party if their requirements do not contradict the legislation of the states according to the procedure which is entered by national authority on standardization, metrology and certification.

Parties:

provide mutual provision of regulating and reference documents on standardization, metrology and certification in case of agreed terms;

will perform cooperation concerning creation, enhancement, reconciliation, metrological certification and checking of national standards of units of physical quantities and output model measuring instruments;

recognize results of the state testing, approvals of type, checking, calibration and metrological certification of measuring instruments which are carried out by other Party;

interact in creation and application of standard samples of structure and properties of substances and materials, and also standard help data on physical constants and properties of substances and materials;

mutually recognize the organizations which will accredit testing and test laboratories and the centers, and also laboratories and the centers accredited by them which perform checking, testing, calibration of measuring instruments;

recognize certification bodies of other Party, accredited test, laboratories and the centers, certificates and marks of conformity on products which are mutually delivered.
