Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and Government of the Republic of Belarus on trade and economic cooperation

The government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Belarus which further are referred to as with the Parties for the purpose of further consolidation and development of trade and economic relations between two states, aiming at closer integration of economies of both states, being guided by the principles and rules of international law, agreed about it:

Article 1

The trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus is based on the principles of equality, mutual advantage and the conclusion of contracts between the central and territorial authorities of public administration is performed, it is direct between the managing subjects irrespective of pattern of ownership and organizational subordination with observance of the legislations existing in both states.

Responsibility for accomplishment of undertaken obligations is born by subjects which signed agreements.

Each of the Parties abstains from the actions directed to restriction of economic interests of each other.

Article 2

The parties will determine procedure and amounts (quotas) of mutual deliveries of the major types of products and will promote the conclusion of contracts (contracts) between the managing subjects for their delivery.

The procedure and amounts (quotas) of mutual deliveries are drawn up by annually special protocol which is integral part of this Agreement.

Issue of licenses for export of products is performed according to the legislation existing in each of the states.

The nomenclature and amounts of the major types of products can be changed or added according to the mutual arrangement of the Parties.

Article 3

The parties agreed not to apply tariff restrictions in the form of export and import duties, taxes and others equivalent it, on the effects of restrictions, in case of mutual trade on products according to the nomenclature and in the amounts provided by the protocol to this Agreement.
