Ukraine and the Republic of Estonia (further - "Parties"),

intending to take active part in the course of economic integration in Europe, readiness for cooperation and search of ways and means of acceleration of this process,

confirming the commitment to the Final act of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Parisian charter about new Europe, and, in particular, to the principles determined in the final document of conference of OSCE in Bonn by economic cooperation in Europe

confirming commitment to the idea of the constitutional state which is based on legality, human rights and other fundamental freedoms,

wishing to create favorable conditions for development and diversification of trade between them and deepenings in areas which have mutual interest of trade and economic cooperation based on equality, mutual advantage and international law,

showing determination to promote consolidation of multilateral trade system and to develop relations in the field of trade according to the basic principles of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATTs/CELLS),

showing readiness to study possibilities of development and deepening of interrelations of the Parties for the purpose of their distribution in areas which this Agreement does not concern,

agreed about the following.

Article 1 of the Purpose

1. The parties create the free trade area according to provisions of this agreement.

2. The purposes of this Agreement which is based on trade relations between market economies is:

a) promote by expansion of mutual trade to harmonious development of the economic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Estonia and encouragement thus of development of economic activity, to improvement of living conditions and works, to gain in productivity, financial stability and permanent economic growth of both Parties,

b) provide the fair competition in trade relations between the Parties,
