About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning language of audiovisual (electronic) mass media

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to the following laws of Ukraine:

1. In the Law of Ukraine "About television and broadcasting" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2006, No. 18, Art. 155 with subsequent changes):

1) in Article 1:

add taking into account alphabetic procedure with terms of the following content:

"Leading (announcer) of transfer - person who in shot or off-screen or in air exercises coordination and/or general management of implementation process of creative intention by other participants of transfer or accompanies the transfer course with explanations and/or the announcement of rules. Leading (announcer) of transfer performs activities based on employment, civil or other relationships with the teleradio organization or other person, provides creation or production of transfer, including to order to the teleradio organization";

"The music video - the complete audiovisual work which sound number consists of the piece of music, including song is informative";

"News (transfer of news) - information, information and analytical transfer to ether which according to the schedule of broadcasting of the teleradio organization regularly airs";

"television" to state the term in the following edition:

"television (telecasting) - production of audiovisual programs and transfers or completing (packaging) of the acquired audiovisual programs and transfers and their distribution irrespective of technical means of distribution which are accepted by any number of persons";

Article 10 to state 2) in the following edition:

"Article 10. LANGUAGE of AUDIOVISUAL (ELECTRONIC) MASS MEDIA

1. The teleradio organizations perform broadcasting in state language. The obligatory (minimum) amount of broadcasting in state language for the teleradio organizations of separate categories of broadcasting is established by this Law. The admissible amount of broadcasting in languages of indigenous people, ethnic minorities of Ukraine, languages of the international communication is established by this Law.
