About modification of the Criminal code of Ukraine concerning the rule of addition of punishments and offsetting of term of pre-trial detention
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:
1. Part the fifth article 72 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (2001, 131) to state sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to Art. No. 25-26, in the following edition:
"5. Pre-trial detention is set off by court in time of punishment in case of condemnation to imprisonment day in day or by the rules provided in part one of this Article. In case of assignment of punishment, not specified in parts one of this Article, court, considering pre-trial detention, can commute penalty or completely exempt the convict from its serving".
2. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
