This Law establishes the purposes, tasks and the basic principles of state policy, feature and mechanisms of implementation of the state support of subjects of industrial activity and is directed to forming and strengthening of industrial capacity of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
- the state industrial policy - package of measures of the state impact on industrial activity, aimed at the accelerated and sustainable development of industrial potential, ensuring increase in production of competitive industrial output and saturation of the consumer market;
- the industry - the sphere of national economy making decisive impact on development of production forces;
- industrial activity - set of the types of economic activity connected with production of industrial output;
- subjects of industrial activity - the legal entities and individual entrepreneurs performing industrial activity;
- industrial production - production during which raw materials, the main materials or semifinished products turn into ready-made product with use of industrial equipment;
- industrial output - the goods made as a result of implementation of industrial activity;
- industrial infrastructure - set of real estate units (the parcels of land, buildings and constructions) and networks (electric, gas-distributing, thermal, drainage, sewer, transport and electronic), necessary for implementation of industrial activity;
