About modification and amendments in some legal acts

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. – In the Code about elections No. 1381/1997 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, Art. No. 277-287, 585) to make the following changes and additions:

1. In Article 1:

after the concept "constituency" to add Article with concepts:

"the national district – the constituency of national level in which elections of deputies of Parliament according to party lists by rules of system of pro rata representation will be organized and held;

the single-candidate district – the constituency in which elections under one mandate of the deputy of Parliament by rules of majority system will be organized and held;";

in the concept "competitors on elections":

state the first subparagraph in the following edition:

"– in case of parliamentary elections in the national district – batch, other social and political organizations and the electoral blocs from which the Central Election Commission registers candidate lists;";

after the first subparagraph to add concept with the following subparagraph:

"– in case of parliamentary elections in single-candidate districts – candidates of Parliament from political parties, other social and political organizations and the electoral blocs or the independent candidates registered by the relevant county electoral councils;";

state the concept "the selective period" of the following edition:

"the selective period – the period of time which is not exceeding 90 days from the date of promulgation of date of elections about day of confirmation of election results by competent authorities;".

2. In Article 4:

consider single part part (1);

add Article with part (2) the following content:

"(2) Within the parliamentary elections each voter has the right to vote two bulletins: one – for the national district and to others – for the single-candidate district. Each voice has equal legal force.".
