Article 1

Bring in the Federal Law of September 27, 2013 No. 253-FZ "About the Russian Academy of Sciences, reorganization of the state academies of Sciences and modification of separate legal acts of the Russian Federation" (The Russian Federation Code, 2013, No. 39, the Art. 4883) the following changes:

The president of the Russian Academy of Sciences is elected from among the candidates approved by the Government of the Russian Federation proposed to position of the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences for a period of five years. The elected president of the Russian Academy of Sciences is confirmed to the post and dismissed by the President of the Russian Federation. The same person more than two terms in a row cannot hold position of the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences.";

b) add with parts 2.1 and 2.2 of the following content:
