About modification of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About the child's rights"

Article 1. The text of article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About the child's rights" (from May 29, 1996, to state ZR-59) in the following edition:

"Each child has the right to receive the corresponding specialty according to the age opportunities, features of development and capabilities, to perform the labor activity which is not prohibited by the law.

The employment contract can be signed with the child on reaching it 16-year age, except for terminal employment contracts.

Children up to 16 years can be accepted on temporary work with the written permission of one of parents (adoptive father) or the custodian (guardian) and guardianship and custody body if it does not interfere with the process to educational process.

The child has the right to preferential terms of work. Features, privileges and conditions of acceptance of the child for work are established by the Labor code of the Republic of Armenia.

It is forbidden to involve the child in production, the use or realization of alcoholic beverages, drugs and psychotropic substances, cigarettes, literature and videotapes containing sensuality and horrors and also in such works which can be injurious to his health, physical or intellectual development, interfere with education.".

Article 2. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after its official publication.
