In pursuance of article 3 of the Law of Ukraine "About accession of Ukraine to the International convention about the civil responsibility for harm from pollution by oil" the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decides:

Approve the Technique of calculation of the size of losses from pollution by oil which is applied.

Technique of calculation of the size of losses from pollution by oil

I. General provisions

1. This Technique establishes the main requirements to calculation of the size of the losses caused to the state owing to pollution of the surrounding environment which happened in case of leakage or discharge of oil from courts and also to business entities which suffered loss owing to costs for anticipatory measures or actions for reproduction of natural resources which were actually applied or shall be applied, or owing to the income, uncollected because of violation of economic activity, according to the International convention about the civil responsibility for harm from pollution by oil of 1992.

Action of this Technique extends to the territory of Ukraine, its internal sea waters, the territorial sea and exclusive (sea) economic zone.

2. Terms which are used in this Technique are used in the values given in the International convention about the civil responsibility for harm from pollution by oil of 1992.
