About modification of some legal acts of Ukraine concerning leave provision to adoptive parents in case of adoption of the orphan child, the child deprived of parent guardianship

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Make changes to such legal acts of Ukraine:

1) Article 182 of the Labor code of Ukraine (1971, appendix to No. 50, 375) to state sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of USSR to the Art. in the following edition:

"Article 182. Leave to the workers who adopted child(children)

Workers who adopted the child from among the orphan children or children deprived of parent guardianship are granted one-time paid leave in connection with adoption of the child lasting 56 calendar days (70 calendar days - in case of adoption of two and more children) without festive and non-working days after the introduction in legal force of the judgment about adoption of the child. Such leave is granted provided that the leave request arrived no later than three months from the date of the introduction in legal force of the judgment about adoption of the child.

In case of adoption of child(children) by spouses the specified leave is granted to one of spouses at their discretion.

The workers who adopted the child (or at the same time two and more children), are granted leave for child care on conditions and according to the procedure, established by Articles 179 and 181 of this Code";

2) in the Law of Ukraine "About leaves" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1997, No. 2, Art. 4; 2004, No. 7, Art. 55; 2009, No. 7, Art. 70; 2011, No. 27, Art. 227):

the second Article 17 to exclude part;

in Article 18-1:

in part one of the word "is more senior than three years" to exclude, and after words of "the introduction in legal force of the decision" to add with the word of "court";

part the second after words of "the introduction in legal force of the decision" to add with the word of "court".

2. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
