About modification and amendments in Regulations on patent agents

In pursuance of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of February 8, 2019 "About measures for enhancement of public administration in the field of intellectual property" the Cabinet of Ministers decides No. PP-4168:

1. Make changes and additions to the Regulations on patent agents approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of July 1, 2003 No. 298 (the joint venture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2003, No. 13, the Art. 103), according to appendix.

2. To the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the interested ministries and departments to bring the regulatory legal acts adopted by them into accord with this resolution in a month.

3. To impose control of execution of this resolution on the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan R. K. Davletov.

Changes and additions made to Regulations on patent agents

1. State Item 2 in the following edition:

"2. In this Provision the following basic concepts are used:

the candidate for patent agents (candidate) - the physical person who showed willingness to perform activities as the patent agent;

the patent agent - physical person which according to requirements of this provision is granted the right to representation on behalf of legal entities or physical persons before the Agency on intellectual property under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - the Agency) and other organizations for obtaining and implementation of legal protection of intellectual property items".

2. Item 4 in paragraph three to replace the word of "four" with the word of "three".
