About modification and amendments in the Law of Turkmenistan "About Frontier of Turkmenistan"

I. Bring in the Law of Turkmenistan "About Frontier of Turkmenistan", adopted on May 4, 2013 (Sheets of Majlis of Turkmenistan, 2013, No. 2, Art. 19; 2014, No. 4, Art. 164; 2016, No. 2, Art. of Art. 98 and 103; 2019, No. 1, Art. 10; 2020, No. 2, Art. 23), following changes and amendment:

in part one of Article 7 of the word "or borderland" shall be replaced with words ", strips of border control, borderland";

after Article 23 to add with article of the following content:

"Article 23-1. Borderland

1. In strip of border control in the overland territory from Frontier, and also from coast of the boundary rivers, lakes and other reservoirs on certain site of the area the borderland is established. Width of borderland is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

2. Work in borderland, except the works which are carried out according to international treaties of Turkmenistan, and also works on strengthening of beds and water use on the boundary rivers, lakes and other reservoirs is forbidden.";

to state contents of Article 26 in the following edition:

"The boundary regime including rules of entrance to border area, strip of border control and borderland, stay in them, movements of citizens and other persons, carrying out economic works, accounting self-propelled and dumb boats, their swimming and content in the territorial sea and internal waters of Turkmenistan and regarding waters of the boundary rivers, lakes and other reservoirs of Turkmenistan, is established by acts of the President of Turkmenistan.".

II. This Law becomes effective from the date of its official publication.
