About introduction of amendments to the Law on the administrative-territorial device of the Republic of Moldova No. 764/2001

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Single Article. - In the Law on the administrative-territorial device of the Republic of Moldova No. 764/2001 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2002, No. 16, of the Art. 53), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In Article 4:

in part (1) the words "areas, cities and villages." shall be replaced with words "villages, the cities, areas and autonomous territorial education Gagauzia.";

in part (the words "and some settlements of the South of the country" to exclude 3), and "the organic laws according to Article 111" shall be replaced with words words "the organic law according to Article 110";

add Article with part (3-1) following of content:

"(3-1) Special status of autonomy of autonomous territorial education Gagauzia are regulated by the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and the Law on special legal status of Gagauzia (Gagauz Erie) No. 344/1994.";

part (to state 4) in the following edition:

"(4) the Administrative-territorial device of the Republic of Moldova is performed in the following levels: villages (commune) and the cities (municipium) constitute the first level, areas, municipiums of Chisinau and Belts - the second level, and Gagauzia has autonomous territorial education the special level of management.".

2. Add the law with Article 10-1 of the following content:

"Art. 10-1. - Gagauzia is autonomous territorial education with special status as form of self-determination of Gagauz, being compound and integral part of the Republic of Moldova, within the competence independently solving according to provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and the Law on special legal status of Gagauzia (Gagauz Erie) No. 344/1994 questions of political, economic and cultural nature for the benefit of all population.".

3. Add Article 17 with part (1-1) following contents:
