About modification of some regulations
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Art. I. - Article 23-2 of the Law on judicial system No. 514/1995 (repeated publication: 2013, 62), with subsequent changes to state the official monitor of the Republic of Moldova to Art. No. 15-17, in the following edition:
"Article 23-2. General meeting of judges
(1) General meeting of judges consists of judges of all degrees of jurisdiction of the Republic of Moldova and provides practical realization of the principle of self-government of judicial authority.
(2) General meeting of judges is convened annually on the regular meeting. The supreme council of magistracy announces date of convocation of the regular meeting of General meeting of judges at least in two months prior to day of meeting, constitutes and distributes to judges the draft of the agenda of meeting which is also published on the official web page of the Supreme council of magistracy with appendix of the materials which are subject to consideration.
(3) General meeting of judges can be convened and in exceptional cases at the request of the Supreme council of magistracy or at least 50 judges not later than within a month from the date of registration of request.
(4) General meeting of judges is competent if the simple majority of effective judges participates in meeting. The same quorum is necessary for holding emergency meetings of General meeting of judges. Participation in General meeting of judges is performed by means of personal presence and/or by means of system of teleconference.
(5) the Meeting of General meeting of judges opens the Chairman of the Supreme council of magistracy who gives conducting meeting to his chairman. The chairman and the secretary of meeting of General meeting of judges are elected by open voting according to the proposal of the judges participating in meeting simple majority of their voices.
(6) Decisions of General meeting of judges are made by a simple majority vote the judges participating in meeting and are signed by the chairman and the secretary of meeting.
