About modification of article 13 of the Law on selection, assessment of activities and career of judges No. 154/2012

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In part (4) article 13 of the Law on selection, assessment of activities and career of judges No. 154/2012 (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2012, Art. No. 190-192, 636), with subsequent changes, Item a) to declare invalid.

Art. II. - (1) This law becomes effective from the date of publication in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova.

(2) to the Supreme council of magistracy from the date of entry into force of this law according to the statement of the judges falling under action of provisions of this part to provide to 15-day time to the President of the Republic of Moldova offers on position assignment before age achievement of limit for:

a) judges, whose initial term of position assignment expired on the date of entry into force of this law, but for which extraordinary assessment of activities, stipulated in Item was not performed and) parts (4) article 13 of the Law on selection, assessment of activities and career of judges No. 154/2012;

b) judges, whose initial term of position assignment expires till April 1, 2022.

(3) In case of submission of the offers provided by part (2) this Article, results of periodic assessment of the activities of the corresponding judges performed once in three years according to part provisions (2) article 13 of the Law on the status of the judge No. 544/1995 and the Law on selection, assessment of activities and career of judges No. 154/2012 will be considered.

(4) the Judges specified in part (2) for which about day of entry into force of this law any periodic or extraordinary assessment of activities was not performed will be offered for position assignment before age achievement of limit after organization of authorized Supreme council of magistracy.
