1. This Provision is developed according to the Law of the Republic of Belarus of January 9, 2006 No. 96-Z "About safety of genetically engineered activities" and determines procedure for state registration of genetically engineered animals, grades of genetically engineered plants and strains of the nonpathogenic genetically engineered microorganisms (further – genetically engineered animals, plants and microorganisms) used in the economic purposes.
2. State registration of the genetically engineered animals, plants and microorganisms used in the economic purposes (further – state registration), is performed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
3. For state registration of genetically engineered animals, plants and microorganisms according to this Provision the legal entities and individual entrepreneurs living in the territory of the Republic of Belarus (further – applicants), submit the application in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
