In recent years system work on the prevention, forecasting, monitoring, protection of the population and the territories from natural disasters, to reduction of the extent of the caused damage, safety of citizens, objects of economic and social spheres in danger areas is carried out.
At the same time the quantity and scales of the emergency situations connected with the mud streams, floods and landslides occurring in mountainous and foothill areas of our republic demand strengthening of measures for protection of the population and the territories from such dangers, and also further enhancement of cooperation of state bodies and public authorities on places in this direction.
For the purpose of ensuring execution of the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of April 30, 2021 No. UP-6218 "About Measures for Complex Systematization of the National Legislation", and also increases in overall performance on protection of the population and the territories against the emergency situations connected with the dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena and geological processes:
1. Approve Government commission on providing the safe omission of flood waters and mud streams, decrease in threats of the snegolavinny and landslide phenomena (further - the Government antiflood commission) in structure according to appendix No. 1.
Determine the main objectives of the Government antiflood commission:
development and implementation of actions according to the prevention of the emergency situations connected with the dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena and geological processes and also strengthening of preparation for their liquidation;
