About additional measures for expansion of capacities of production of jewelry and full support of domestic jewelers

In recent years number of the measures directed to revival of traditions of jewelry art, development of production of domestic jewelry, providing their competitiveness in the domestic and foreign market and also satisfaction of need of the population for high-quality jewelry products is performed.

At the same time the most part of production of jewelry, purchases of raw materials and trade in the made products is performed in the country illegally, the created new production capacities do not conduct full activities.

For the purpose of transformation of jewelry industry into one of the main drivers of the local industry, support of activities for production and trade in jewelry from precious metals and gemstones, and also satisfaction of need of subjects of entrepreneurship for raw materials:

1. Take into consideration that according to the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of February 22, 2021 No. PP-4998 "About measures for creating favorable conditions for further development of the jewelry industry" is implemented procedure for realization of precious metals to producers of jewelry through the commodity and raw exchange with 15 percent advance payment and condition of payment deferral.

Extend till January 1, 2026 the validity of procedure for realization of precious metals through the commodity and raw exchange with payment deferral condition.

Establish since February 1, 2023 procedure according to which in case of realization of precious metals through the commodity and raw exchange with condition of payment deferral it is allowed:

provide payment obligations on the acquired precious metals along with guarantee of JSC Uzmilliybank also guarantees of other banks and the guarantee of the Agency of promotion of export under the Ministry of investments, industry and trade;

provide the bank guarantee to also individual entrepreneurs who are engaged in production of jewelry;
