Chapter 1. General provisions

1. These rules of establishment of the minimum wholesale price for the socially important food products made, imported and (or) realized in the Republic of Kazakhstan (further – Rules) are developed according to subitem 14-5) of article 6 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On regulation of trading activity" and determine procedure for establishment of the minimum wholesale price for the socially important food products made, imported and (or) realized in the Republic of Kazakhstan (further – MOTs).

2. The authorized body in the field of regulation of trading activity for the purpose of ensuring food security and protection of the domestic market establishes MOTs for a period of up to ninety calendar days within one year on certain socially important food product in all territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
