About the additional measures aimed at providing the population with high-quality consumer goods

For the purpose of the ensuring consumer protection, suppression of the facts of production and turnover which is not certified, counterfeit, with the expired storage duration and goods, unsuitable to the use, providing the population with high-quality consumer goods:

1. Approve the offers of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice providing:

strengthening of responsibility for the act connected with illicit trafficking in the goods which are not meeting safety requirements of life or health of consumers;

establishment of responsibility for the act connected with illicit trafficking in ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and tobacco products proceeding from the level of public danger;

strengthening of the administrative responsibility for violation of the sanitary legislation and veterinary, veterinary health regulations;

strengthening of responsibility for illegal use of someone else's trademark, service mark, geographical specifying, the name of the place of the goods origin, sign similar to it to extent of mixing of designations, or uses of others trade name;

establishment to subjects of entrepreneurship at which the license is cancelled or is stopped implementation of activities (actions) in notifying procedure in connection with gross violation of the established requirements and conditions, restrictions for occupation with types of activity according to appendix No. 1.

To the Prosecutor General's Office together with the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and other interested departments in three-months time to introduce in Legislative house of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan the relevant bill on the questions provided in this Item.

2. Implement the following procedure for strengthening of public control in the ensuring consumer protection, suppression of the facts of production and turnover which is not certified, counterfeit, with the expired storage duration and goods, unsuitable to the use:
