About approval of Rules of carrying out index assessment

According to subitem 4-1) of article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About breeding livestock production" I ORDER:

1. Approve the enclosed Rules of carrying out index assessment.

2. To provide to department of livestock production of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the procedure established by the legislation:

1) state registration of this order in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) placement of this order on Internet resource of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. To impose control of execution of this order on the supervising vice-Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. This order becomes effective after ten calendar days after day of its first official publication.

Rules of carrying out index assessment

Chapter 1. General provisions

1. These rules of carrying out index assessment (further – Rules) are developed according to subitem 4-1) of article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About breeding livestock production" and determine procedure for carrying out index assessment.

2. In these rules the following basic concepts are used:

1) breeding value - the level of the selected signs of breeding animal and possibility of their transfer to posterity;
