In recent years in our country the legal basis aimed at the development of volunteer activities, support of social initiatives of citizens, strengthening of their responsibility, solidarity and skills of mutual assistance in the solution of social tasks is created.
At the same time further development of volunteer activities requires support of these activities, strengthening of cooperation of state bodies with the subjects performing volunteer activities, assistance to volunteers in the solution of social tasks, recognitions of their merits and enhancement of mechanisms of encouragement of their activities.
This Law makes changes to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About volunteer activities", the providing investment of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and public authorities on places by powers on development, approval of the state target programs in the field of volunteer activities and to ensuring their accomplishment, and also on development and adoption of regulatory legal acts in this sphere.
Besides, this Law provides determination of the Agency on cases of youth under the Ministry of youth policy and sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan by specially authorized state body in the field of volunteer activities, refining of its powers in this sphere, and also specification of powers of republican executive bodies on support and rendering assistance to volunteering.
This Law will serve support of volunteer activities, determination of powers of republican executive bodies in the field of development of volunteer activities, and also to further promotion of volunteer activities.
Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of December 2, 2019 No. ZRU-585 "About volunteer activities" (Sheets of chambers of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2019, No. 12, Art. 879; 2021, appendix to No. 4) following changes and amendments:
